This is a short, freaky, and very spooky tale of revenge based on my short story "Vows". It just goes to show you that whenever you make a deal with a supernatural creature -- no matter how good the sex is -- you need to read the fine print!

01-01-2005: Vows is now available on our new DVD: The Cosmic Horror Fun-Pak.- 04-14-2004: Cut about 45 seconds from the opening sequence and fixed a bit of the credits. This is much better.
- 04-11-2004: Showed it at Norwescon. The opening sequence is clearly too long.
- 04-6-2004: Did the edits this evening. This is neat! Because of the shaky intro shots of graveyards, it looks campy and fun. The bloody graphics just add to that impression. Working this, however, reminds me to white balance the camera whenever I shoot. And also, I don't quite have the knack of shooting-day-for-night yet. Good thing to discover on a short, instead of a feature.
- 04-1-2004: Shot the majority of the footage this evening. It was very cold and keeping the candles lit was a total bitch. Funny thing, Caedmon was very warm in his coffin, because he had a bunch of candles around his head and Charisse sitting on top of him in her fur coat. She looked awesome with her makeup -- very nasty! Although we took many stills, they're not out of the camera yet, so I won't be posting them here yet. The coffin was a perfect fit, allowing for candles around Caedmon's head. He looked awesome in his suit and bullet-ridden face.
03-21-2004: Shot a few options of the opening sequence. Katrina got a few good stills, too. Cemetery's are spoooooky.- 03-20-2004: Nicole finds me a place where I can place a coffin and build a grave. Neat!
03-19-2004: Okay, did a rewrite on the script, basically made a full shooting script. I like the ending much better now. Also hit a store and bought some candles that looked freaky, like human flesh mixed with fat. Mmmmm, fat. It seems likely we'll have an actress and an actor for the parts -- just gotta confirm after they read my script.- 03-18-2004: Finished the script and did a read-through to Katrina. We're not too sure about the very last line. We have one that'll do for now, but we might shoot a couple of different ones and see what looks better eventually. I don't like this. I should have a clear idea what naps the ending in.
