Guerrilla Productions presents
Revival
Revival is a tiny cautionary tale. Be careful about who you trust regarding your remains and in particular, the future of your remains.
Revival is now available on our new DVD: The Cosmic Horror Fun-Pak, which contains this and many other short movies by Guerrilla Productions, most of which are not available anywhere else!

Production Diary
04-4-2004: Debuted at the Longbaugh Film Festival. Specifically, the Comcast Short Film Competition (that link has since been brought down). Somehow the first ten seconds of sound had all the bass or something dropped out, as if one of the main speakers was unplugged. This killed the sound effect of the heartbeat starting up, which I think is a rather important piece of the storytelling. Annoying, but not much I can do about it. People laughed in the right places and I overheard one person say the animation sequence was pretty cool.
- 03-27-2004: Finished the edits. Looks tasty. I showed it to a couple of people who jumped at the right places and laughed at the right places, so this is a good thing. Total time clocked in at two minutes.
- 03-20-2004: Shot the stop-motion sequence. My feet are killing me.
- 03-19-2004: Hooked up with Frank and we found ourselves a perfect set and shot a lot of video this evening. I think it went great! Upon digitizing, it came out darker than we had planned, but I was able to adjust the curves enough to bring it back. Plus, it looks like it's all shot in one of those bat rooms at the zoo. Which is good!
- 03-18-2004: Finished the script and did a read-through to Katrina. She approves heartily: "Wow, that's freaky!"
- 03-15-2004: Talked to a friend, who said we might be able to shoot in an actual hospital setting. That would be cool!
