Guerrilla Productions Newsletter: April 24, 2006

Welcome dreamers, the undead, and the followers of weirdness, to the more-than-a-month-goes-by monthly newsletter from Guerrilla Productions. What's the news, what's the news...

Zompire, Zompire, Zompire!
http://www.Zompire.com/
Come join Guerrilla Productions and other Portland filmmakers at the first annual Zompire Film Festival right here in Portland. April 28-29 2006 (four days from now!). Many fine features and many fine shorts await your viewing pleasure at the historic Hollywood Theater (4122 N.E. Sandy Blvd.) this Friday and Saturday. Just imagine the bragging rights: "Yeah, I was there for the first one!" See you there!

CafePress stores

We finally have a good batch of fine things at our CafePress stores, so please check 'em out! I wore the new Flesh of my Flesh t-shirt and the new Guerrilla Productions t-shirt to Norwescon this year and I looked devilishly handsome! I can't guarantee that members of the preferred sex will throw themselves at you, but I'm just saying you better wear shoes with traction, if you know what I mean.

Flesh of my Flesh
http://www.FleshOfMyFlesh.com/
IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0494226/
Flesh of my Flesh is Guerrilla Production's second feature film, this time a live-action horror movie. Flesh of my Flesh follows the last three hours of the War of the Undead, as told by the people caught in the middle. We are showing the latest teaser at the Zompire Film Festival Saturday April 29th at the Hollywood Theater in Portland. If you can't make it, then find the new teaser in our Downloads section. The video cut looks pretty neat so far and more pieces are coming together. We're very thrilled about this project and we hope you enjoy the teaser! We try to keep the Production Diary up-to-date, so check it out at: http://www.FleshOfMyFlesh.com/PDiary.html.

Revival
http://www.Guerrilla-Productions.org/Movies.html
Revival, our strange, energetic short movie about waking up in the distant future after freezing yourself in quantum suspension, will enjoy a bit of play at the Zompire Film Festival. Come check it out!

Con of the Dead
http://www.Guerrilla-Productions.org/Movies.html
Con of the Dead is one of our workshop movies from Norwescon, a sci-fi/fantasy convention in Seattle. Con of the Dead was made in 2004 and has (not surprisingly) acquired a life of its own! Con of the Dead has played at Season's Bleedings in the past and just recently at the Faux Film Festival. On Saturday April 29, 2006, Con of the Dead will be showing at the Zompire Film Festival (I think we've found a niche!)

March of the Fenguins
http://www.Guerrilla-Productions.org/Movies.html
Once again, we did our yearly workshop at Norwescon, creating a short movie in the wink of an eye. After last year's CSI: Norwescon (which was shot almost entirely within a bathroom), we decided we had to get outside! So outside we went, and shot out first "nature documentary, March of the Fenguins, which is a delightful parody of March of the Penguins (which I think addresses the potential for penguin military juntas, but I might be wrong). Do check it out, and if you are thinking of going to Norwescon, please join us next year!

The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath
http://www.Guerrilla-Productions.org/Merchandise.html
IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0384057/
We are shipping The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath on DVD (Guerrilla Productions' first feature), including both domestic international addresses (the cost includes shipping pretty much anywhere in the world). This edition contains a completely remixed and remastered soundtrack, as well as several sequences re-animated from scratch. Good stuff!

The Cosmic Horror Fun-Pak
http://www.Guerrilla-Productions.org/Merchandise.html
The Cosmic Horror Fun-Pak is our second DVD release and features a collection of shorts and oddities from Guerrilla Productions. Some of these shorts have only been shown at private showings and conventions, and now's your chance to see them.

Goodnight and have a pleasant tomorrow!
