Now's the time to be a part of the fun and the joy that is moviemaking, in a very real and profitable way.
Guerrilla Productions has several features ready and rarin' to go, only needing a bit of financing to get them started. These are dramatic scripts, adventure scripts, science fiction scripts, horror scripts, and more. They're all features (we usually pay for shorts out-of-pocket), so they all enjoy their own commercial potential.
Guerrilla Productions has already produced two DVDs (The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath and The Cosmic Horror Fun-Pak) and are distributing them through our website, as well as other resellers, and are working on our third DVD (Flesh of my Flesh) with a few different distributors waiting to review it. We can distribute through our usual sources, or if we get lucky, we'll find an external distributor.
Financing a feature film is not for the faint-hearted, but -- and I say this from experience -- there's nothing like seeing those numbers in the spreadsheet switch over from red to black and then start climbing again (and of course, a good portion of that profit goes to Principal Investors). It's a gamble, many will tell you, and it takes a while to pay off, but it's extremely satisfying to be involved in an act of creation like that.
Here's a brief list of some projects currently available for financing, and some highlights about them. If you're interested at all, please Contact us for more information!
Burying Charlie
A contemporary adventure, Burying Charlie brings six strangers together at the funeral of a mutual friend, where they are tasked to perform one last favor, one last request. This last request is a crucible that shears them from their respective lives, and hurls them down an elemental path, where one part of their lives end and another is born.
The Catalyst
Exploring and exposing universal themes of xenophobia, this science-fiction story reveals that not only is Mankind not alone in the Universe, but Mankind is actually a stunted subculture of a much greater collection. Trouble is, Mankind might not be ready to have itself knocked down a peg just yet...
Conscience
Conscience is science fiction, exploring a very real psychological issue -- what happens when you reject your own ancestry. In a rough-hewn frontier world, two manufactured creatures -- androids -- hunt each other, but their battlefield is a town barely held together by one man haunted by his own losses. As the cat-and-mouse game explodes into violence, lives are lost and the local sheriff finds that he could lose much more than he thought possible -- depending on how he plays his cards -- and he also discovers that everyone has secrets.
Home
What must a family do to stay together? In the middle of divorce, children can be the worst weapon of all, but if the family's unconventional, if the family's unusual, then they become the battlefield. In Home, a family of five adults and half a dozen kids -- a modern commune of sorts -- welcomes a sixth addition and her son, but however pleasant the situation seems, there seethes beneath the surface jealousies and tensions, an emotional powderkeg, ignited by a vicious custody battle and a media feeding frenzy.
The Launch
High school is hell. High school is where your future is carved into stone, where you become forevermore a Geek or a Motorhead or a Loser. High school makes you or breaks you. Spring break, senior year, though, there is one chance -- one last chance -- to be whatever you want to be. Three misfits, each following their own peculiar path, launch themselves on an erractic course toward one Final Adventure, knowing that this is the last thing they will ever have control over. As they cross the country, their quest feeds the imagination of their peers and in a few short days, their fame -- and infamy -- grows to the point where even adults see them as a threat. Feeling the weight of expectation, and the increasing wrath of their parents and their future lives, they struggle to maintain a grasp on their souls as they finish what they started, as they shake off their youth and enter adulthood in their own ways.
Overlord
Deep beneath the ground, in an ancient South American mine, a creature is released. Having been trapped there for thousands of years, it has grown very hungry, and humans are its favorite food. Six people, from all over the globe, must find within themselves their past lives, and join forces to stop this beast from engulfing the world and spreading outward. The key to this, however, is a certain level of faith, and one of them, a man who stands to lose everything he loves, finds that he simply can't depend on faith.
Through the Night
Hatchet Valley is as remote as it is forbidding, and within it lives the dangerous dregs of society: liars, anarchists, drug smugglers, gun runners, killers. Sinners and saints alike, they all must face one enemy on the outside -- hungry, vicious, supernatural beasts -- and enemies on the inside -- each other -- during one endless night of terror.
